Nicolenjoli photography started in Whittier Ca. back in 2010 before I had children of my own and was still trying different photography like events, weddings, and family sessions. Once my son was born I figured I'd take his photos no problem since I new photography but boy was I wrong! My poor son has horrible photos. My first mistake was waiting until he was about 19 days old and thinking I could pose him no problem. Thats when I realized there was a lot to learn about newborn photography. I started to immerse myself in learning how to photograph newborn babies. 2 years later I still didn't want to chance it with my baby girl so I hired a professional and I was also able to watch her work. By the time my daughter was born in 2013 I was starting to photograph friends and families newborns and soon enough I was able to invest in props and a website and the rest is history. The photo below is an early one taken in my home studio space. It was 3 window walls which was amazing for natural light, now that I have no windows I realize how amazing it was.

During covid it became difficult to work out of my home when things started to open up, my kids were still doing online school and I really didn't feel comfortable having people in and out of our space anymore so I found a spot that I am still at in Brea, an 8 minute drive away. Whittier is officially part of Los Angeles County, and Brea belongs to Orange County, but since they are both located right on the border, I make sure to inform people that I serve both areas as well as the surrounding counties. Clients come from various locations, which is a great compliment, especially considering the abundance of newborn and maternity photographers. I understand that when they travel to me, there is a specific reason behind their choice.

As shown on the map, we are centrally located, with many major cities less than 40 minutes away in any direction. Cities like Pasadena, Long Beach, Irvine, Yorba Linda, Riverside, Chino, Diamond Bar, Ontario, Covina, Downey, Lakewood, and numerous beach cities are all within close proximity and close to many freeways.
