Happy New Year everyone! Hope you had a great holiday break! Of course it all goes by way too fast. 2021 was a great year for Nicolenjoli Photography, I met so many amazing families and made a lot of progress in my business by moving into a larger studio space that is so much more accommodating to my clients. I took a maternity workshop that was really inspiring. I have been able to focus more on the creativity of my sessions which is the part I enjoy most, planning out the set ups and making each one special and unique. I hope that if anything sets me apart, it is that I put a lot of thought into my set ups and making them feel like me... if that makes sense.

I also just wanted to write a little bit about where we are in terms of covid as it is all around right now which was to be expected with the colder weather and everyone getting together for the holidays... I am open and am photographing newborns. I am still taking all the safety precautions and I am happy to say they seem to be working. When you book your session you have to agree to follow our studio policies as I am trying to keep my family healthy as much as you are.

Been booking a lot of 2022 babies lately so don't wait to book yours, I hate to turn away moms when I have no availability. Explore the website to learn more about me and my work. If you are interested in seeing the pricing please fill out the contact form and I will send it to you right away. I look forward to 2022 and meeting many new families and newborn babies!

I had so much fun with the Christmas mini sessions this year! I was not able to do these type of set ups previously because of the limited space but now that I have a nice sized dedicated studio space just for shooting I was able to set up 3 different Christmas sets! I didn't know how it would go, didn't know if my clients would be interested, didn't know if I would like the fast pace. I can say I loved it, especially seeing all of my old clients, some who I photographed as newborns and now are in Kindergarten or 1st grade was really cool... turns out my email blast worked like I've heard they do (LOL) and reminded some of my old clients that aren't on social media that they wanted photos with me! I booked more than I thought I would and it was just an awesome fun experience. I can't wait to plan more minis... I love the quick ease of them for families to get some adorable photos. Check some of them out below....

Many of my clients return to me with baby #2 and there is no better compliment then when they return to me because they were so happy with my work. Sibling photos are important... I know because my son was 2 and refused to take a photo with his new baby sister, I got something less than ideal but I love it anyway. My son was exactly 2 at the time since his 2nd birthday was 7 days after his sister was born. 2 year olds, especially those who recently turned 2 are probably the most challenging as they don't talk a whole lot yet but they sure do know what they want and are not easily persuaded if they aren't into something.

There are certain poses that work best for a newborn and their 2 year old sibling. Children get a little more cooperative as they grow older, older children can still be unpredictable but for the most part it all works out. Here are some sibling shots...
